Here is the Sunday Kids@Home activity for the week-

Materials needed –

A jar, or small box and slips of paper which will be put inside the jar/box

Paper and pen/pencils to write a letter to Lorna. Or access to iPad or computer to email the same letter to Lorna. – this activity is for the older children.

Read Acts 2:42-47

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

The bible reading today is all about the early church and the things they did that helped them to become a community. Our community is a bit distant at the moment but this doesn’t mean we don’t care.

Sunday Kids@Home Activity

Today, think about everyone you know, write their names on slips of paper and put them into a glass jar or little box (anything you can shake them around in). Shake them up and pick one name out without peeking. Then think of one thing you can do for this person right now. You could phone them, email them a photo of you smiling, write them a letter and post it, bake them a cake or say a quick prayer thanking God for them and asking Him to take care of them.  Whenever you get bored this week, pick another name out of the jar and do something for that person.

Older kids; it’s been more than a month since we were able to meet up. I’d like you to write me a letter or email telling me what you miss about coming to Sunday Kids so that I can try to make sure we do that even more or better when we do come back together. Or, if you are enjoying worship at home more than coming to Church, what is one thing you do at home that we could add to the Sunday kids meetings to make them more enjoyable?
