Welcome to another week at Sunday Kids@Home.

For this weeks activity you’ll need a set of these three ingredients to make Trinity Muesli Bars, or Trinity Apricot Slice, or Trinity Beetroot dip.

Trinity Muesli Balls-
1 cup pitted dates, 2 1/2 cups muesli, 1/4 cup rice malt syrup

Trinity Apricot Slice –
2 cups (400g) dried apricots, 2 cups (180g) desiccated coconut,
2 tbsp (30g) coconut oil

Trinity Beetroot Dip
440 g baby canned beetroot, 250 g cream cheese,
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (chopped)

Today we are thinking about God as three-in-one

We talk about there being One God –
God the Father (creator, almighty, everlasting)
God the Son (redeemer, saviour, messiah) and
God the Holy Spirit (Advocate, helper and guide).

These three are not the same as each other but they join together as the Holy Trinity.

People use lots of ways to try to explain this. When I was think about things that are three in one,

I found some recipes that only use three ingredients. I thought you and your families might like to make one of these. When you are eating them you might like to talk about the Holy Trinity with your family. Enjoy! Please let Lorna know which is your favourite recipe! There are only 3 ingredients in these recipes too!

Trinity Apricot slice

Ingredients
• 2 cups (400g) dried apricots
• 2 cups (180g) desiccated coconut
• 2 tbsp (30g) coconut oil

Method
1 This works best if you soak the apricots in water first. Pour a cup of boiling water on to the apricots and leave them to cool.
2 Then pour off the water and process all ingredients in a food processor for 2-3 minutes. Press a small amount of the mixture between your fingers to make sure it holds together. If not, process for a little longer.
3 Press firmly into a slice tin lined with baking paper. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm. Slice into 24 small squares. Or roll into three cylinders, press them together and slice to make trefoil shape.
