The Diocese of Adelaide is committed to the National Redress Scheme to provide an additional avenue for redress for those who have experienced abuse in the church. The Diocese was declared as a Participating Institution in the Scheme on 27 February 2019.
People who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse, can make an application to the National Redress scheme or to the Diocese of Adelaide own redress scheme called Healing Steps.

God of Peace, we cry out to you on behalf of those who have suffered abuse. We pray that you are with any victims who are feeling pain and anger. Break through any barriers of fear, self-doubt and despair that they may be feeling; and strengthen them to face the future with faith, hope and courage. Reach out to them with your love, acting through all those who support them, that they may find peace and healing. AMEN
